Hustler Adds Harmony Films to PPV and VOD

LOS ANGELES — In the turf war for pay-per-view and video-on-demand content Hustler TV has announced the licensing of yet another hot property, this time signing U.K.-based Harmony films to an exclusive, worldwide distribution agreement.

The deal, which covers both current releases and a broad selection of library titles, marks a new point of access into the American market for Harmony films, which was originally introduced to the U.S. by Evil Angel, the production company’s American DVD distributor.

“Hustler TV is the perfect partner for Harmony Films’ expansion into the VOD and PPV market due to their highly recognized brand,” Steven Elvins, managing director of Harmony Films, said. “This agreement will allow us to introduce our products to a whole new audience, as well as give current fans another outlet to enjoy our films.”

Daniel O Sullivan, joint-managing director at Harmony, added that he believes there is already an audience “hungry for programming like ours.”

For Hustler, the right to disseminate Harmony content via its PPV and VOD channels worldwide gives the company even more variety to lure and retain viewers.

“It is important that we have exciting, quality content to offer affiliates that is only available on Hustler TV,” said Michael Klein, president of LFP Broadcasting, which owns Hustler TV. “This innovative partnership will expand Hustler TV’s product offering to include world-class adult entertainment with British style.”

Harmony Films joins a growing roster of content producers who have granted Hustler TV exclusive licenses for PPV and VOD. VCA Pictures, Hustler Video, Sex-Z Pictures, Red Light District, Evil Angel, Jules Jordan Video and Tera Patrick’s Teravision are among Hustler TV’s exclusive PPV and VOD offerings.
